Weapons and Armor
A good suit of armor was one of samurai's most treasured. Their armor are skillfully made, and beautifuly decorated. Wearing this armor would feel hot, uncomfortable and make it hard to see, but it was needed for protection. If a samurai's mask were painted red, it was a sign of anger. The samurai wore:
HEAD: painted wooden crest, nape guard
SHOULDER: shoulder armor
BODY: handle armor, cuirass
WAIST: armored"skirt"
HANDS: hand armor
LEGS: knee protectors
FEET: straw sandals
Samurai fought with a variety of weapons. Ther four main weapons are: (1)swords (2)lances (3)bows (4)guns. A samurai usually carries two swords for battle. One being a katana, and the other called the wakazashi.
