Training!!

Samurai soldiers were at least 13 to 14 years old.  Babies born to a samurai family have to train for warfare at birth.  Samurai
boys were taught how to kill and survive.  At 10 years old, you would spend 12 hours at school training as a student.

They did lots of training such as archery.  Archery involved shooting moving targets (including dogs).  You would have to be trained to use your right hand, even if you were left handed.    People were also trained to fight a senior sword master.   There are many types of weapons and armor they use during battle.  Even if the training is intense, that is not all they do. That is only one part of the day.

They take breaks and learn about battle techniques.
They also listen to victory stories from the past samurai.   All
samurai should have mental discipline respect and manners.
They should also know how to tie up prisoners.  If someone tied
the rope in a wrong knot, the prisoner might escape!
